High School Friends

We’re excited to support girls who face extra challenges like poverty, unstable homes, foster care, or teen motherhood! Soroptimist clubs are here to empower them through small groups and conferences, providing the vital information and resources they need to thrive!

By connecting with girls while they're still young, we can empower them to stay healthy and safe today, while also paving the way for a brighter future with fewer women in crisis! Let’s inspire them on a journey that helps them chase and achieve their dreams!

DREAM IT, BE IT

CAREER SUPPORT FOR GIRLS

JANUARY 11, 2025 STEAM WARS CONFERENCECENTRAL UNION HIGH SCHOOL "STEM" BUILDING

IT ALL BEGAN IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY...

What began as a dream, is now a reality that we are proud to finally debut in 2025 to the girls of the Imperial Valley.

Our mission was to provide girls with access to professional role models, career education and resources to live their dream.

Our goal is to close the gender gap in the STEM field.

But...WHY GIRLS & STEM?

Because women and girls are consistently guided away from science and math during their educational journey, which restricts their access, preparation, and opportunities to pursue these fields as adults.

Currently, women represent just 34% of the workforce in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and men significantly outnumber women in most STEM majors in college.

Empowering women to dive into STEM careers isn't just a good idea—it's a game changer! It shrinks the gender pay gap, boosts women's financial stability, spices up the talent pool, and zaps biases in these fields and the cool stuff they create.

So, let’s make those opportunities rain!
