WELCOME

Empowering the women and girls of the

Imperial Valley since 1940.

IWD2024 Official Picture.jpeg

Soroptimist was established in 1921 in Oakland, California, during an era when women were excluded from service organizations. Our name, which can be loosely translated from Latin, signifies "best for women."

Soroptimist International of El Centro takes pride in being part of a network of over 25,000 members and supporters across North America, Latin America, and Pacific Rim.

We are affiliated with one of five federations that comprise Soroptimist International, which has clubs in more than 120 countries worldwide.
